Deployment Overview
Deploying PowerBuilder components to EAServer involves setting properties and defining the server to deploy to. This process is very straightforward. When you begin to develop in a team environment, you need to put more thought into the deployment process. You cannot consistently change the properties and define the server to deploy to a new developer's machine, test server, or production server. The term deployment refers to the process of deploying and promoting your components—how components are deployed to developer machines, test server, and production servers. Moving between a developer's machine to a test server and on to a production server is refereed to as promoting.
