Deploying PowerBuilder components to EAServer is only the beginning of a component's long march toward production. Even before components are deployed to EAServer, a development team needs to have a plan established for how it will promote components through the various stages of developing a distributed application. The team must decide how it will share components and how it will promote them from the development stage, through Quality Assurance, and on to Production. This chapter has described the various methods of sharing and promoting components, as well as the common issues facing development teams as they work toward a production-level distributed application.
