Objectives

Distributed development is a significant and rapidly evolving approach to developing applications. In keeping pace with this evolution, a developer must be aware of changes in the development landscape. One of the biggest changes in developing applications for a distributed architecture is the use of intercomponent calls. This chapter will look at how one component calls another and how to begin developing components for reuse by other components. We will also examine the pros and cons of intercomponent calls in the distributed environment.
