Architecture

The architecture of a Web application implementing a Web DataWindow involves several components, including the Web browser, Web server, dynamic page server, and application server. These types of components are not unique to Sybase, PowerBuilder, or the Web DataWindow. Each component is available from Sybase, and some components can come from other vendors. We discuss when and why to use components from other vendors later in the chapter.
