Why Migrate?

First, let's clarify the term migrate. When used with software, migrate means to change from one form to another or move from one platform to another. Form changes could refer to the internal structure of the software, to the outward appearance of the application to the user, or both. Often changing platforms requires changing form also. In this context, I am referring specifically to n-tier and Web as the migration target, and EAServer as the platform.
