Establishing depth of field, perspective, and lighting

The group portrait, or the dreaded group portrait as many photographers might affectionately refer to it, is when you apply all of the knowledge and skill you’ve acquired and compound it by however many more people you can throw into the scene. But don’t start smoking at the ears from overload, because the same basic concepts apply in a group portrait as they do in a single-person portrait. If you keep a few things in mind during the shoot, you’ll be producing great group photos in no time.
