Chapter 10. ENHANCING AND SHARING YOUR PHOTOS

ENHANCING AND SHARING YOUR PHOTOS
  • Manage Your Images

  • Enhance and Repair Your Images

  • Share Your Images

Technology is always evolving, but the need to document and share precious life moments is constant. With a laptop, mobile phone, or wireless camera, you can share your images from anyplace (see 10-1). After you take oodles of digital images and import them onto your computer, you have many ways to organize, enhance, and share your images. Although the array of options can be complicated and overwhelming, if you follow a few of these tips and suggestions, the bewildering "after the shot" path can become easier to navigate.

MANAGE YOUR IMAGES

When you begin downloading digital images onto a computer, keeping track of all those files can become very confusing. Even if you begin with one folder and place all your images within it, you have not established a method for researching and accessing those images in a detailed manner.

Fortunately, computer software, DVD burners, online servers, and printers make it very simple to import, view, organize, and save your digital images — all you need to do is incorporate them into your digital-image routine. By using these tools, you can thoughtfully assemble, easily control, and readily share your image collection.

ABOUT THIS PHOTO The contrast of man and technology in nature is a classic theme. I like how small the subject is in relation to the outdoors. Taken at ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/125 sec. with a Canon EF 17-35mm f/2.8 lens.
