Why Pop-Ups Make Sense for Baby Boomers

When it comes to Baby Boomers and pop-ups, there’s good news and there’s bad news. The good news is that they are living longer, as life expectancies keep moving up. With this longevity has come better healthcare, better medicines, and better understanding of what a healthy lifestyle entails. As a consequence, people are not only living longer, but they are also living better.

The bad news is that Baby Boomers are living longer, with a prolonged need for subsistence and for the resources to support an active way of life. Unfortunately, most Boomers have not made enough money nor socked away enough savings to accommodate their needs, with such national support services as Social Security and Medicare unable to provide enough financial assistance to cover the needs of the senior population after they retire. Simply put, they are leaving their jobs and careers not having made enough money to satisfy their financial needs for the remainder of their lives.

Alongside that dilemma is the fact that many Boomers are not ready to simply retire and stop all productive activities. In fact, in many cases, the opposite is true.
