Suppose that I’ve been working hard on a high-priority activity for more than a month. Then my boss turns up and tells me that this project is now useless, since the customer who ordered this feature has gone bankrupt. All the work that I’ve done is now wasted. How could I possibly have known this when I started a month ago? What did I learn? To give and get feedback more often. Then me, my boss, and the customer would have been able to predict this failure earlier.
