Modifiers—Letting Max Do the Work for You

In this chapter we are going to discover the benefits of using modifiers to create complex meshes. Even with the power of the techniques I outlined in the last chapter, there are going to be instances in which allowing 3ds Max to do its job through the use of modifiers will produce cleaner results in a shorter period of time. We will also discuss instances in which using a modifier may not be the best choice.
