Pretreatment and Analysis Methods of Heavy Metals and Organic Pollutants Existing in Construction and Demolition Waste

Abstract

Accurate pretreatment and analysis of the pollutants existing in industrial construction and demolition (C&D) waste should be ensured to better achieve the identification and pollution characterization of these wastes. For heavy metals contaminated waste analysis tests, a recovery rate of 92.40–99.66% is obtained. Three leaching methods including synthetic precipitation leaching procedure, toxicity characteristic leaching procedure, and EA NEN 7371 are compared.
