The Political Bottom Line
Taking time to prepare by restoring our sense of power and purpose helps us to act more confidently. Objectively reviewing previous action and planning fair treatment may take a little time to complete, but will have the added bonus that the whole team can improve its skills. This also places us in a position to take assertive action against the troublemaker when the moment is right. If this has been accompanied with careful management of our stakeholderâs impressions of the individual, success is just around the corner. We can also use this dilemma as an opportunity to hone our stakeholder management skills, which can improve our ability to influence on all issues, not just with the troublemaker!
