As we saw in previous chapters, policies can be defined at different levels and across different resource classes. A significant part of the simplification produced by policy-based management approaches is obtained by allowing the system administrator to only specify the high-level objectives or goals, rather than having to specify the detailed configuration of all of the different resources that comprise the system.
