Policy Distribution Using Scripts

Most routers provide a way for a human administrator to configure them over a console. The configuration process usually consists of invoking the right set of commands that will set the appropriate parameters and knobs at the device. The commands that are issued by a human operator can also be generated by a programmed script invoked by a computer. A policy management tool could generate such scripts to configure the various devices within a network.
