An Example of Policy Distribution
In order to demonstrate the features of the different distribution schemes, let's assume that a device called eCommServer must be configured with the following three policies:
All outgoing packets that originate with a local port of 265 and that use transport protocol 6 are to be marked as EF packets with a DiffServ field value of 101110.
All outgoing packets that originate with a local port of 11 and that use transport protocol 6 are to be marked as EF packets with a DiffServ field value of 101110.
The default is to mark all packets as BE packets with a DiffServ field value of 000000.
