Before you start recording your podcast, you need to set up your computer, microphone and speakers, and Audacity itself. Trust me—taking a few moments to get everything correctly in place can make the difference between a podcast that sounds professional and one that sounds like a couple of drunk dudes yammering in their Mom’s basement.

There are certain things you need to do to your computer, no matter your operating system, if you want Audacity to work at its best.
