Extensions
Applicants who have not taken the exam within the 6-month eligibility period may request an extension or refund. For an extension, send a written extension prior to the eligibility period, including the reason for the extension and acknowledgement that you have cancelled any exam appointments with the exam contractor.
If you meet these requirements, PMI will provide a 6-month extension at no cost. Extensions will not be allowed after the candidate's eligibility has reached 1 year.
