Zope functional testing

So far we have tested our class and its methods from the developer's point of view. However, Zope (and thus Plone) allows us to test our code in a black-box fashion from the end user standpoint.

As far as Plone is concerned, end users will use, in most cases, a web browser to interact with the final application. Zope provides a web browser simulator in its zope.testbrowser package, which behaves almost in the same way every modern and real browser does, except for the lack of JavaScript support.

Note

In Using Selenium functional tests section, we'll cover testing with the Selenium framework, which does support JavaScript.

By using this library, we can easily create automated functional tests.
