Let's take a look at the reasons Sandy gave for why her goal is important to her. Remember, her priority goal was to reduce the number of hours she works. The reasons this is important to her are, in her words:

‘I don't have a life anymore. I chased the corporate dream of “work hard, get promoted quickly” and am still waiting for the payoff.' Her number one reason for this goal is: she wants a life again!

‘I am disconnected from my old friends and feel that my life is slipping by.' She wants to reconnect with her friends and family.

‘I have become jaded and unproductive at work because of the long hours. I know I need time off to recharge the batteries. Working fewer hours will help me achieve that.' She needs a real break.
