Introduction

The previous chapters on XML gave you an overview of many of the various XML-related technologies. The space available wasn't sufficient to include enough information for you to be fully up to speed with all aspects of XML. They laid a foundation of understanding and some basic techniques, which, if you are interested, you can spend time to develop further.

This chapter looks somewhat selectively at some aspects of the application of XML to e-business. In the space available, you can get only a hint of the broad range of dynamic innovation that is going on in some settings.
