Abstract
Starting with safety requirement specification and its development methods, this chapter covers the safety implementation part of relevant standards including design implementation, installation commissioning, operation and maintenance proof testing, and various proof testing techniques. Certification and certifying authorities issued for safety instrumentation systems (SIS) are covered as per standards. Principles of explosions and explosion protection are discussed.
