7.7. Other Metadocuments

There are many other metadocuments to be found in the literature and in common use. This chapter has only touched on some of the most common documents related to the process of producing the software specification.

There are other planning documents as well as documents relating to other aspects of the software business. There are management documents such as change control procedures, Gantt, Pert, TQM, and timeline charts. There are documents to summarize metrics such as Quality Progress Diagrams. There are testing documents such as test cases, procedures and scripts. There are deployment diagrams, user manuals, and so on.

The bottom line is that you must not let metadocuments become the final product of your planning ...
