Chapter 5. Overviews

  • The XP process has releases that take a few months, that divide into two-week iterations, that divide into tasks that take a few days. Planning allocates stories (chunks of function) to releases and iterations in reaction to the realities of development.

We're going to outline XP in two ways. If you like an overall understanding before going into details, read the following section first. If you like to go from smaller to larger scale, read the second section of this chapter first.
