A CAREER IN BD
BD FOR TECHNOLOGY companies, especially startups, is a relatively young “profession” in its current form, but its roots stem from the career trajectories of many other types of business roles. Because pitching and closing are both major elements of a job in business development, we feel that it’s important to outline the stages of business development at which you begin pitching and closing, and to outline how those skills can ultimately be used. Since BD is such a popular career option for young people, we have outlined several possible tracks for professionals who are interested in carving out a career in BD.
