comment A note, link, or other comment left on a pin. Comments are publicly visible to other Pinterest users.
cover photo The pinned image designated by the board owner to serve as the default picture for a pinboard.
hash tag A word or phrase used to describe a topic, event, or idea in a way that makes it easy to tie concepts together. Hash tags are triggered through the use of the # symbol before a phrase (for example, #PinterestMarketing). Hash tags act as links on Pinterest and lead users to a listing of all other pinned content featuring the same hash tag.
like A way for Pinterest users to denote their appreciation of a pin without repinning it. A like on Pinterest works much the same way a like on Facebook does.
