Week 1—Set Up a Pinterest Account

Fair warning: Pinterest is addictive. I joined up in the fall of 2011 when I noticed Pin It buttons showing up on crafting and food blogs. I’ve been an almost daily visitor ever since.

While I use it for my own projects and clients, it’s also great for a web-based diversion. It’s my new time killer when I’m waiting in line or need a distraction at the end of a long day. It’s my source (and storage) for inspiration on food, my home, and a huge portion of the things I do in my everyday life.

It’s best to spend at least a few weeks using the site before you begin exploring the idea of using it as a marketing tool, so grab a cup of coffee, get ready to set up an account, and prepare for a new addiction. ...
