WORD OFFERS DOZENS of options for customizing how it operates. I’m not going to bore you by listing and describing every one. The use of Word options probably follows something like the 80-20 rule. Eighty percent or so of the time, you’ll be working with the same 20 percent or fewer of the options. This section gives you an overview of where to find the various types of options and touches on the ones you’ll use most frequently.
To work with Word Options, choose File > Options. In the Word Options dialog box that appears, click a category name in the list at the left to see that category’s options.
