Editing Text

UNLESS YOU’RE A PERFECT TYPIST, you’ll probably make a few mistakes in your document. Or maybe you’ll change your mind about some of the text in the document. In a word processing application such as Word, corrections and changes are easy to make, and in some instances, typing errors are even automatically corrected for you.

Adding New Text

When you want to add new text in the document, place the insertion point where you want to locate the new text and then begin typing. As you type, Word inserts the characters and pushes the existing characters to the right or to the next line if necessary.
