zipper clause

Also known as a totality of agreement clause, a zipper clause is an agreement between the parties to a collective bargaining agreement that the contract is the entire agreement between them and that anything not in it is not part of the agreement. The purpose of this clause is to prevent reopening of negotiations during the term of the contract.
