6.5. Communicating TR Programs

Taking the time to develop a compensation philosophy, participate in salary surveys, and develop new compensation programs does not help the organization unless results and objectives are clearly communicated to employees and managers.

For example, when rolling out the annual merit increase process, it is important to have timely, effective, and frequent communication geared toward both management and employee populations. Management typically receives different or additional information designed to facilitate their role as evaluator. Sharing salary survey results with management continues the dialogue about attracting, retaining, and motivating talent through existing or new programs.
