Compensation and Benefits

Compensation and benefits are the lifeblood of the employment relationship between the worker and the employer. But this relationship reaches beyond the scope of compensation and benefits alone, including recognition programs and assorted fringe benefits; thus, “total rewards” has become a popular term that best defines this aspect of the employment relationship. Nineteen percent of the PHR exam and 13 percent of the SPHR exam will focus on this area of knowledge.
