Security refers to protection of the workplace and of the employees who work there. Security threats can come from a wide range of possible sources, just a few of which are

  • Natural disasters, such as earthquakes

  • Theft

  • Workplace violence

  • Terrorism (including biological terrorism)

  • Identity theft

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Hazardous materials

  • Computer viruses/hackers
