Safety

Workplace safety can be defined in many different ways. In essence, a “safe workplace” can be defined as one in which employees are free from risks of injury or illness. Call it prevention…or call it avoidance…either way, workplace safety requires that companies take a proactive approach to accidents, injury, and illness:

1.
First, organizations must minimize the likelihood that work-related injuries or illnesses will occur.
2.
Second, organizations must proactively establish response plans in the event that injuries or illnesses do occur.
