Occupational Health

At their core, occupational health programs and initiatives help to ensure that workplaces remain healthy. Within that framework, organizations need to consider the physical, psychological, and emotional dimensions of health. Organizations also need to realize that while maintaining a healthy work environment is critical to maintaining a healthy workplace, it isn't enough. Employers also need to address—and be prepared to respond to—health-related issues that can develop in the workplace because of conditions, issues, or problems that don't originate in the workplace.
