Project Management Concepts and Applications

In the vernacular of “project management,” a project is a “special” and temporary undertaking designed to accomplish a specific goal and yield a specific output. The “management” portion of this term speaks to the overall process required for ensuring the successful accomplishment of this goal, rather than the goal itself.

Projects are usually deadline driven. Though the project timeline may be demanding, it is not uncommon that projects will not have additional resources devoted to their accomplishment.
