19.4. Summary
XML is a language for describing documents. It is not limited to a fixed number of tags, so it is extensible, flexible, and can be used in combination with a variety of technologies.
PHP and PostgreSQL provide interfaces to XML. However, these interfaces are still being developed and have not yet been widely used.
