10. PHP and the Server

Most of the chapters in this book focus on creating dynamic Web sites with PHP, which is, after all, the original intention of the language. Chapter 9, “Networking with PHP,” approaches some behind-the-scenes features of the language, specifically toward the goal of communicating between servers.
