Chapter 5. Old Chair
Another Shift
Some would call it an antique shop, and others would call it a junk shop. On San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley, there stood this tiny shop filled with some people’s junk waiting to become somebody else’s treasure. It was a beautiful sunny day and the shadows were razor sharp. This odd mixture of wares just begged to be captured.
The “old chair” painting (Figure 5.1) marked another shift in how I work—using the Wacom Cintiq. I don’t want this to sound like a promotion for Wacom products, but the Cintiq did have a dramatic affect on my work.
