Beautiful images have a wide variety of subjects. In the last two chapters we discussed beauty as it applies to images of people. Here we’ll take a look at three different kinds of images: product, food, and architectural.

Each of these genres involves not only good photography but also lots of retouching. We’ll take a look at some of the typical techniques used in retouching these kinds of shots.

As with shots of people, retouching shots like these is all about the lighting and the details. Many of the techniques are similar to what we covered in the previous chapters—they’re just adapted to fit the different subject matter.
