We love our photos, and sometimes it seems we love them a bit too much for their own good! We carry them in our wallets, tape them into photo albums, and glue them into frames. All this well-meant mistreatment can cause serious rips, tears, and lost pieces. Additionally, antique documents, such as birth and marriage records, also show fading and wear and tear as they are repeatedly folded and unfolded. In addition to wear-and-tear damage, photos can have unwanted lens distortion and perspective issues caused by the lens used on the camera.
