Given the wide adoption of Adobe Photoshop in professional print and Web publishing workflows, as well as the incredible growth of digital photography in the past few years, it can be easy to forget that the very first version of Photoshop was developed in part by an engineer doing motion picture work at Industrial Light & Magic.
