View

This menu lets you control how your photos are presented in the Organizer. It also includes two very cool ways to look through a group of photos or compare photos.

Photo Review

This is one of the best features in the Organizer. Choose it or press F11, and you get a full-screen slideshow of your photos. There's a small control strip to help you navigate through them. It's a great way to check through a group of newly imported photos.

Tip

Since the Windows version of Elements 3 doesn't really give you a true full-screen view of your photo in the Editor (there are always toolbars hanging around) many people like to switch back to the Organizer and press F11 to get a really good full-screen look.

Photo Compare

This is similar to Photo Review in that you get a full-screen view. But in Photo Compare, you get to see any two photos of your choice side by side. It's great for choosing which photos you want to keep or print. You can also get to Photo Compare by pressing F12.

Refresh

If you need to refresh the view, choose this menu item or press F5.

Go To

When you're looking through photos, use this to go:

  • Backward (press Alt+left arrow)

  • Forward (press Alt+right arrow).

Arrangement

This is an important menu item. It tells the Organizer how you want to see the photos in the Photo Browser. You can choose to arrange your photos by:

  • Date (Newest First)

  • Date (Oldest First)

  • Import Batch

  • Folder Location

  • Color Similarity

  • Collection Order

  • Stack Order

  • Version Set Order
