with text, too! In this chapter, I’ll start out by showing you how to do
simple tasks, like adjusting the space between lines and letters. Then,

Adding a Single Line of Text
Adding a single line of text to your document is
straightforward with Photoshop’s Type Tool.
Select the Horizontal Type Tool
) from the toolbox, and click once in
your document. A flashing text cursor will appear, and a new layer will
be created in the Layers
panel as shown in Figure 5.1
. You can begin typing right away.
