26.7. Summary

This chapter introduced you to the video capabilities of Photoshop CS4 Extended. You learned about the video and image formats that Photoshop can import or export for use with video layers. You learned other video-related information, including frame rates, aspect ratios, and output formats, and how to prepare your documents for use in other video-editing applications. You learned about working with the Animation panel in Timeline mode to manipulate video, and to create smooth, tweened keyframe animations.

You also learned about using Photoshop's painting tools, filters, blending modes, masks, and layer styles with video content. Frame-based animation was also reviewed in this chapter. Finally, you learned how to preview and export your video content in different file formats.
