17.5. Summary

This chapter explored the different ways to reduce the appearance of noise and pixelization in images. You learned about the different ways noise can be introduced into an image, from high ISO settings to scanner dust or halftone patterns. You learned about the Noise Reduction, Dust & Scratches, and other filters that help to reduce undesirable image artifacts. You also learned about using blur filters to smooth transitions between pixels and to lead the viewer's eye through an image.
