Chapter 9: Prepare Images for Output

Preparing your images for output is an important part of creating a professional impression. You can use Photoshop to prepare your photos for output to an inkjet printer as a straight print, and Photoshop includes the controls you need to print it with the best possible quality. You can also add a simple border and a mat surrounding the photo, or a sloppy border. Or you can make a gallery print. Gallery prints, rather than being centered on the paper, are printed off-center with a wider border at the bottom than at the top. You can add your signature to your art prints or add a watermark to a proof image.
