Chapter 6: Modify Photos with Transform, Straighten, Crop, and Resize

Modifying your images to fit your project is an essential part of the photographic and design process. You may need to use a still photo as part of an HD video project, or transform a vertical image into a square as part of a collage, or even into a landscape for a multimedia presentation. And to preserve the quality of the original image, you want to destroy as few pixels as possible when you perform these modifications.

Very often you need to crop and resize your images. But when you crop an image for one project, you may still want the uncropped version for another. You can do this using the Crop tool without saving a copy of the original file.
