Q: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON SUPPLYING DIGITAL FILES TO PORTRAITURE CLIENTS WHEN ASKED? AS A RULE, I DON’T OFFER DIGITAL FILES TO PORTRAITURE CLIENTS; I ONLY OFFER DIGITAL FOR COMMERCIAL/WEB SITES, ETC. BUT I INCREASINGLY GET ASKED, “CAN I GET THOSE ON DISC/DVD, ETC.?” AND I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND UNEASY ABOUT THE SUBJECT. ON ONE HAND, I WOULD RATHER HAND OVER AN ICONIC PIECE OF WALL ART THAT IS EDITED, CROPPED, PRINTED, AND FRAMED PROFESSIONALLY, AND ON THE OTHER HAND I FEAR LOSING CLIENTS IF I DON’T GO ALONG WITH THEIR REQUEST!
