Although the digital revolution in photography started more than two decades ago it is only in recent times that all photographers have had to re-evaluate their capture workflows, relearn their post-production skills, and find new ways to present and print their images. The darkroom has been supplanted in most photographers’ workflows with a digital lightroom. This chapter looks at setting up a computer system that is suitable for editing photographs in order to present the images on the computer’s mointor or print via a print service provider or desktop printer.
