Although the primary importance of a photographic image is in its ability to communicate the photographer’s concept, it is essential that the photographer has some degree of control over the initial capture stage and is using a camera that can deliver a reasonable amount of quality. Image quality has more to do with a basic understanding of light and exposure than it has to do with the size of the zoom lens and the number of megapixels the camera is sporting.
